Social isolation to stop the spread of COVID-19 has profoundly impacted the older adults in our communities.
LA LOOP wants to spread some joy and cheer by sending 100 personalized cards to isolated seniors across the nation, and we need your help!
LOOPing in is all about making the world a better place, one small act at a time. This simple task of making cards—which can be done at very minimal cost and is fun for all ages, from 6 months to 100 — can have a profound and lasting impact. The cards will accompany meals delivered to homebound seniors, giving them some contact and joy from the outside world.
Here's how to LOOP in:
1. Create as many virtual or physical cards as you can.
NOTE: These notes or drawings should be generic enough to be received by any senior (e.g., not addressed to any one person). By volunteering to write cards with Project Isaiah, you guarantee that the notes you send will be free of any derogatory or discriminatory language or symbols, including, but not limited to, anything racist, homophobic, sexist, or anti-Semitic.
2. Take pictures of the cards, then click the Register button to upload the photos.
3. Ask your friends, family, and colleagues to join!
