Let Justice Roll! 
Participants will learn and implement community organizing skills in support of PACT (People Acting for Community Together,) Miami-Dade's largest inter-faith grassroots coalition. Local issues of focus are community ID program, support affordable housing, and improve policing practices across the county.
Activities will include:
Weekly check-in meetings
PACT Rally 
Nehemiah Action on 3/15
Note: Activities take place on Monday evenings at 6 PM
The completed module will fufill a 10 hour service-learning requirement

Project Plan

Participants will learn background information about the community partner, social issues, and approaches that will be taken throughout this module. 
Note: For those who missed a live session, you are required to view the posted recorded orientation. Be sure to "Add Impact" afterwards and answer the impact questions.
Participants are required to attend a minimum of 4 Monday check-ins with other People Power SLCE Module participants. These will be held via Zoom on Mondays evenings between 6:15 - 6:45 PM.

Participants will engage in preparation activities for the Nehemiah Action. This will include learning the code of conduct for the Nehemiah Action as well as logistical details. This is our time to get excited about coming together for Miami-Dade's largest grassroots assembly -- the Nehemiah Action!

Let Justice Roll!
Barry pledges to bring 100 people to the Nehemiah Action (via remote attendance or Barry caravan).
Participants will join 1000+ Miami-Dade residents in holding elected officials accountable on issues related to affordable housing, community ID program, and policing.

Participants may attend via Zoom or physically-distanced car rally (staying in your own car)
People Power SLCE Module participants will recap their activities and reflect on their academic and civic learning experience.
